At McGill Tree Farm, we bring a rich history of experience and stewardship to every tree we grow. Since the original Texas land grant of 1824, this farm has been passed down through family, generation to generation, evolving through various agricultural and farming industries.  In 2022 the McGill family purchased this farm, making them the first purchasers of the land, proudly continuing the legacy of quality and care. Although we are a relatively new farm, we’ve retained the invaluable skills and knowledge of the head growers who were with the farm under its previous name, SkyMeadows Farms.

Our team boasts nearly 60 years of combined experience, with our two head growers, Armando Garcia and Rafael Rosas, playing a pivotal role in shaping the farm’s success. Notably, Armando and Rafael were the growers behind the trees planted along the main walkway of the Texas State Capitol building in Austin—a testament to their skill and dedication.
